The Kailua Village Artists featured member artist for the month of March is stained glass artist Bill Jaeger.

Meet Jaeger, see his latest work and talk story with him at the gallery today, March 25 and April 1. On these days, Jaeger will be demonstrating some stained glass techniques used to create a panel, such as glass cutting and foiling.

Jaegar learned the art of stained glass while working full time and earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Wichita State University and a MBA from the University of Kansas. Jaeger and his wife Kathleen moved to the Big Island in 2004. Since then, he has immersed himself in the art of stained glass. Each art piece is an original design of hand cut glass soldered together using the copper foil method.

Jaeger will be showing a new series, “P &P – Pineapples &Palm Trees,” featuring unique oval designs for both pineapples and palm trees. He will also be featuring some of his “Vintage Car” series panels.

The gallery, open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, is located at 75-5729 Alii Drive, Suite C-110 in the Kona Marketplace.
